Downtown Las Vegas

Tamares Real Estate's Las Vegas portfolio is a 40 acre mixed use downtown site with a number of buildings including the Plaza Hotel & Casino (made famous by the movie 'Casino') and the Las Vegas Club Hotel & Casino. It is situated on the intersection of Main Street and Fremont Street and constitutes the largest private landholding in the City of Las Vegas. Tamares Real Estate purchased the portfolio from Jackie Gaughan, one of the great pioneers of Las Vegas.

The investment was made in March 2004 with the knowledge that Las Vegas was one of the fastest growing cities in the United States and that a programme of regeneration was underway throughout the downtown area. In recent months there has also been considerable speculation that development may begin on a 61 acre site adjacent to the Plaza Hotel & Casino.
